2 Day Paediatric First Aid

A two day, 12 hour course
Certificate valid for 3 years
The course covers all aspects of children’s first aid. It is suitable for childminders and those working in childcare settings where babies and children are present.
The aim of the course is to introduce the learner to first aid involving babies, children and adults, and to gain confidence when dealing with medical and emergency situations.
The training is delivered in a relaxing and encouraging manner enabling participants to feel confident to ask questions at any time, and on finishing the course, feeling that they can make a difference…
Subjects covered include: unconsciousness, resuscitation, choking, blood loss and various medical conditions such as croup, meningitis, asthma, head and spinal injuries, poisoning and burns.
Assessment is ongoing by the trainer.
